Excuses are hiding places that allow us to simultaneously complain and perpetuate our conditions. Health problems? “It runs in my family,” instead of taking control and changing habits. Excuses let us blame, and they rob us of our power to create the life we want: healthy, happy and prosperous.
Of course there are external forces at work. Times and places support different things: the huge downturn in our economy changed the economic landscape. Instead of complaining, some people shifted, changed what they did and adapted. Looking for possibilities and opportunities empowers us to be at the helm in our lives, not at the effect of everything else.
Since I’ve learned this, it’s been a helpful guideline in creating a more fulfilling life. To clarify your business or personal issues, contact me for a complimentary, no obligation phone session.
